This year’s 54th edition of the Grammy Awards are popularized through a conceptual poster, especially designed by the Los Angeles-based architect Frank Gehry and featuring warped buildings. Labeled “the most important architect of our age“, Frank Gehry is known worldwide for his sculptural contemporary approaches for famous buildings across the Globe, such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis or the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The artwork revealed by the poster has a gold gramophone trophy as a focal point. Surrounding it, there is a series of contemporary buildings defined by Frank Gerhy’s contemporary style. The architect explained his decision to contribute to the design of this poster: ‘I have been fortunate to have worked with and become friends with some of the top musicians in classical music… they are my inspiration and my heroes. I am pleased to work with the Grammys to help celebrate all of these talented people.’ The poster will appear on various promotional items informing people regarding the event held on the 12th of February 2012 and broadcast live on the American network CBS.
