Located in Londrina, Brazil, this SN house really catch our attention with its floating house design concept using large spans without column with cantilever main floor to reserve more space for the leisure area on the lower level. Designed by Guilherme Torres of Studio GT, this floating house features living rooms, garden and the pool at the lower level while the upper level features bedrooms, the kitchen, dining room and leisure area for large family member.
The SN House project does use simple materials such as decorative stone, exposed concrete and white masonry elements to define its volumetry in pure and simple forms. This floating house project uses rainwater capture for reuse and solar heating system for faucets, showers and pool. All the residence was designed considering the solar axis and natural profile of the terrain. The leisure area at the entire block of bedroom get its privacy from the closure of wood louvers which still allow cross ventilation and open windows.
